Applying to Charles H. Cecil Studios

To apply to the Charles H. Cecil Studios please complete the application form and return by email.

Applications are reviewed throughout the year for both full-time study and the summer courses. However, we recommend applying by April to avoid disappointment. Applicants must submit five images of their work with a written statement.

Before applying

We would recommend that any prospective student visit the studio before applying for a place.

Written Statement and Images

The written statement should be around 500 words and include the following subjects:

  1. Previous art training or experience
  2. Why the applicant has chosen to study at the Charles H. Cecil Studios
  3. Painters or paintings that have had a strong influence
  4. How the applicant sees him or herself benefiting from the training

Images can be sent as slides, photographs or as jpeg files.

All applicants will be notified by email once their application has been received.

Accommodation

We are able to forward, to enrolled students, lists of agencies and privately let apartments that have been used by our students over the years.

Language

All the classes at Charles H. Cecil studios are taught in English.
